Instructions
Registration begins Monday, April 21, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.
Registration
Advising
Students are required to meet with their advisor the first semester they take classes
in order to complete a degree plan. Please contact an advisor to work with you on this
plan. Please call an advisor to schedule an appointment. Advisors are:
* Advisors for MSTM program
** Advisor for MMSE and Certificate programs
*** Advisor of Systems Engineering program
Notes:
- Degree checklists are available by going to your degree program listed in the
left-hand
column.
- If you believe you already are proficient in a specific course, contact your advisor to
discuss alternatives.

TUITION, FEES and REFUND DATES
Tuition for the 2007-2008 academic year for a three credit courses is $720.00 per
credit or $2,160.00 per course. A technology fee of $37.50 per semester for
3-5 credits and
$75.00 for 6 credits or more will be added to your student account. The
technology fee is charged only during fall and spring semesters. A 1.1% per monthly
finance fee will be charged for any unpaid balance on your account.
Refund schedule for Summer 2008 Classes
Last day of 100 percent: May 30, 4:00 p.m.
0 percent refund after 4:00 p.m., May 30, 2008
** Notice must be received by the Engineering office before 4:00 p.m. YOU are
responsible for dropping a class if you no longer wish to attend. Non-attendance is not a
sufficient reason to obtain a refund and may result in receiving an "F" for the
course.
Late Registration Fee
A late registration fee of $40.00 is assessed for any registration after
4:00 PM, May 30,
2008 for Summer Semester.

Registration Procedure:
- Continuing students will use their UST ID number and Personal Information Number (PIN).

- Print out the
Registration Worksheet (pdf) and fill in your
Course Reference Numbers (CRN) and other information.
- Internet Registration is available at
https://registration.stthomas.edu (select Murphy
Online: Student Information System). You will need your UST ID number and PIN. You can
add or drop classes and print your schedule.
If you have a registration hold, please
contact Student Services at 651-962-5756.
- If you need assistance, call the Student Services Coordinator

- How to determine if a class is full:

- Select the appropriate semester and click on Graduate, then Engineering,
School of.
- A list of classes is shown. The column labeled M/E/W shows enrollment data:
M for maximum class size, E for actual enrollment, and W for number
on wait list.

- Syllabi will be posted as professors make them available. See
http://courseweb.stthomas.edu/engineering/grad/index.htm. Click on the professor's
name for a RECENT syllabus. Make sure the syllabus you are looking at is current
before you buy your book!!!
- Class room assignments will be posted on the web and on the Engineering office door at
OSS101 the first day of class.
All classes listed are on the St. Paul Campus unless noted differently.
Wait Lists
Students can wait list by calling 651-962-5756 or use Murphy
online.
Students are encouraged to use the wait list system if they wish to attend
a closed class. When an opening becomes available, the first person on the wait list will
be contacted. Contact the Student Services Coordinator within one week to
accept or decline this seat. You are under no obligation to
take a seat offered to you. Top
Returning Students
Check on-line for any registration holds and note your assigned
registration time. Students who have not taken a class for more than one year
must contact the Student Services Office to be reactivated. Call 651-962-5756 or E-Mail technology@stthomas.edu to do this. Top
Admission Completion Required to Register
Any student who is not admitted to a degree program and has
taken two or more courses must complete admission requirements to continue to take
courses. Students who have not met with an advisor will need to meet with him in order to
register for J-Term and Spring. Students with a hold on their registration should
contact Student Services at 651-962-5756. Top

In Case of An Emergency
If your family should need to reach you while you are in class, it is
important to give the UST Public Safety Department, at 651-962-5100, as much information
as possible.
They will need to know the course name, number, section number, and if possible, the
building and room number in order for them to find you quickly.
