BENEFITS OF PARTICIPATION

Each member of the project will:
  1. Receive instruction in the basic principles of:
    • Negotiation,
    • Mediation,
    • and Consensus building;
  2. Develop skills in these areas by participating in a consensus-building process;
  3. Have an opportunity to interact in an innovative way with their peers and colleagues in a given sector;
  4. Connect with and learn from their counterparts from different sectors;
  5. Gain a broader understanding by analyzing the current local reality from different perspectives;
  6. Receive a certificate from the University of St. Thomas School of Law acknowledging participation in the project;
  7. Receive recognition of participation, in name and organization, as part of the project website and in any resulting publications.

This is an innovative educational experience in which stakeholders will be able to collaborate in a goal-oriented dialogue and evaluate options based on a multitude of desired results. The possible applications of this process can have an impact on the efficiency of the judicial system and thereby benefit the entire legal profession in each country. By participating in this project, participants gain access to the latest developments in the field, with no monetary cost or language barriers.

If you are interested in joining this project, or would like more information, please contact the Regional Administrative Coordinator, Ana Yepes, at ayepes@unimet.edu.ve.
