The Leelanau Conservancy is working with the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy and other organizations to develop a region-wide plan for farmland preservation, while completing major projects of its own on the Leelanau Peninsula of Michigan.

The American Farmland Trust is a private, nonprofit farmland conservation organization. Its programs include public education, technical assistance in policy development and demonstration farmland protection projects.
