Qui suis-je? | Who am I?
I am a daughter, a sister, a friend, a lover. I am a learner, a worker, a believer, a hoper, an observer, a thinker, a doer, a listener, a story-teller, an explorer, a traveler, a creator, a cultivator, a laugher, and a smiler.
“I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.” —The Beatles
In May of 2010, I will graduate from St. Catherine University with degrees in French and Theater-Business. The possibilities the future presents excite me. Thanks to a Liberal Arts education, I have no shortage of ideas and interests, some of which include a year of service, further schooling, arts administration, graphic design, restauranteering, or oenology. I currently work at St. Kate’s as a graphic artist for the Student Center of Activities and as an administrative assistant in the Theater Department.
Though the first 18 years of my life were spent in gorgeous Rapid City, South Dakota, I have since fallen in love with the Twin Cities. I fill my spare time here taking advantage of the diverse theater offerings, gardening at Celeste’s Dream Community Garden, visiting the Farmers’ Markets, cooking, reading, dancing, and being with the people I love. I enjoy coffee, dark chocolate, the smell of rain, crossword puzzles, sweaters and scarves, skiing, and bookstores.
Thanks to my parents, I have developed a passion for traveling and learning about other cultures first-hand. I have been fortunate to travel the world, most recently on study abroad trips in the south of France and northern India. My journeys have shaped my beliefs, attitude, and perspective. Dialogue and respect, honesty and communication, balance and passion, interdependence and commitment, growth and learning, reflection and expression, hearty laughter and wisdom, family and friends—these are what I value most.
