Access MyWeb & MyStorage

Windows XP

  1. Double click on the My Network Places icon.
  2. Choose add a network place from the menu list on the left side of the window.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Select the Choose another network location option,
  5. Click Next,
  6. Enter https://mystorageweb.stthomas.edu/yourusername in the internet or network address: field. Note: Make sure you type https and do not forget the “s”
  7. Click Next.
  8. Click Next 
  9. Click Finish.

Windows Vista/Windows 7:

  1. Click the Start button and select Computer.
  2. Right click anywhere in the open window and choose add a network location.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Select the Choose another network location option.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Enter https://mystorageweb.stthomas.edu/yourusername in the internet or network address field. Note: Make sure you type https and do not forget the “s”
  7. Click Next
  8. Enter a name for the network place, such as MyStorage.
  9. Click Next
  10. Click Finish.

Macintosh OS

  1. Select the Go menu from the menu bar
  2. Choose Connect to Server
  3. Enter the server address: https://mystorageweb.stthomas.edu/yourusername Note: Make sure you type https and do not forget the “s”
  4. Click Connect
  5. Enter your username and password

How to mount your website

  1. Once you have connected using the instructions above, you should see your MyStorage folder with other folders inside.
  2. Find the folder named MyWeb.
  3. You should see a file named index.html; move it to the trash.
  4. Open your production folder.
  5. Drag and drop the contents of your production folder into the MyWeb folder, including the img folder. Do not drag and drop the entire production folder, only the contents.

Accessing your website with a browser

To see your website, open your browser. In the address bar, type in http://personal.stthomas.edu/yourusername.
