Places I Have Been

Caitlin and her Family in Hood River, Oregon

Me and my family touring the Historic Columbia River Highway, Oregon.

My experiences with travel are wide–ranging and long–standing. My father's passion for vacation planning and attraction to new destinations have fuelled my family's many travels since I was young. I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to travel both nationally and internationally, with family and with friends. Through these experinces I have been introduced to a diverse array of cultures, environments, and individuals. As of now, some of the places I have visited with my family include Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, South Carolina, Hawaii, Jamaica, and Mexico. My family's most recent trip was to Hood River, Oregon where we visited with my older sister. While there, we mingled through vineyards, fruit stands, and flower framers, enjoyed fresh seafood, biked along the rivers, hiked past numerous waterfalls, drove along the Historic Columbia River Highway, and refreshed ourselves with much needed relaxation.

In addition to these national destinations, I have also traveled internationally to Ecuador, England, and France. In Ecuador, my older sister, Dana, and I volunteered through an international program, helping to implement sustainable agriculture projects at a small reserve in the cloud forest. My most recent traveling experience was through a study abroad program called UMAIE, where I, along with fellow classmates, journeyed to London, England. There, we studied issues of race, gender, class, and the mass media, touring all throughout London and a briefly in Paris, France.

As has probably become evident, I have developed an appetite for travels over the years, each new place giving me a taste of something new and a thirst for something more.
