Fair trade at St. Thomas

Student with children

Students around the world have joined
the fair trade movement. This student
visited Central America and met with fair
trade coffee farmers and their children to
learn about the impact of the movement.

Like other colleges and universities across the nation, St. Thomas has an active fair trade movement on campus. ADJUST, a group of St. Thomas students, advocates for increased fair trade coffee options on campus. Right now, only a few campus locations sell a very limited number of fair trade coffee products.

It is clear that students support fair trade, but as a Catholic university, St. Thomas' mission also supports the concepts behind fair trade.
